From Billings, Montana to Art Institute of Colorado
Inspired by the woods, mountains, and plains of Montana — her home
Artist Annie Bailey is originally from a rural community of less than 1,000 people, where she grew up on her family’s ranch and learned a deep love for nature from a very young age. Annie draws her inspiration from the color, shapes, and forms that can be found in the woods, mountains, and plains of Montana — her home. Despite her rural upbringing, Annie came to love modern design, from furniture to art. After attending the Art Institute of Colorado, Annie found that the most fulfilling design work has been for herself, and she prefers steering the direction of her own business.
Annie makes each wood art block in the studio by hand, and all of her orders are inspected by herself personally. She takes pride in the DIY attitude of her daily work, and she occasionally employs friends, family, and anyone else willing to help out when things get busy.
