Melanie Kolasinski Rasmussen of Melanie’s Natural Soaps in Walla Walla, WA, has been hand making natural soaps for over 20 years. Melanie began selling her creations publicly on Etsy in 2019. Most of Melanie’s soaps are made with 100% natural ingredients, containing essential oils for fragrance and natural colorants for beauty; she also makes soaps containing natural oils that include fragrance oils and mica for colorant. All of Melanie’s soaps are labeled with their ingredients, including sodium hydroxide (lye) which become neutralized by the fat in vegetable oils used in her recipe.
