A Female-Led, Mission-Driven, Independent Business Based in Walla Walla, WA

Recycled Ideas is a female-led, mission-driven, independent business based in Walla Walla, WA, that manufactures paper with seeds embedded in it using traditional, handmade, sustainable techniques. All of their paper may be planted to grow flowers, herbs, and vegetables according to the type of seed in the paper. They are one of the premier producers of seed-embedded paper in the world and are a leader in this specialty paper market.

Plantable paper makes for the perfect gift for a variety of affirming life events and milestone celebrations: Weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, corporate events and fundraisers, celebrations of faith, reunions, memorials, and more. Their wide variety of offerings means you can find something for everyone while still being completely unique.

For most of their paper, they use flower seeds — a carefully researched and thoughtfully chosen mix that includes both annuals and perennials including: Zinnia, cosmos, snapdragons, red and pink poppies, shasta daisies, black-eyed susans, blue cornflowers, marigolds, calendula, dianthus / Sweet Williams, and godetia.

Recycled Ideas does not use generic wildflower seeds. No wildflower is truly generic – they are meant for specific locations and specific habitats and should only be planted where they are native. Non-native wildflowers, and those sold as generic wildflowers, do damage once they spread beyond where they are planted. Wild means they spread wild, like a wildfire, wreaking havoc in environments where they are unwanted. Their seeds are all native or well-established in North America, Europe, and urban areas around the world. The seeds they use are non-GMO and do not contain neonicotinoids (insecticides) that can be harmful to bees.
