Funny and inspirational candles worth raving about
Schnea Richardson is the owner of Scentsational Aromas, a candle and wax melt company she started in 2018. Schnea is obsessed with candles, and at one time her kids counted over 200 candles in their house! She loves burning candles, but would find herself with a headache and scratchy throat after a few hours of burning them. So, she started to research how to make her own candles.
After coming across soy candles, Schnea ordered everything she needed to make her own soy candles and wax melts for her friends and family, who started to rave about how awesome they were. So, she decided to open an Etsy shop!
The Etsy candle market is pretty saturated, so Schnea began to find her own niche. She wanted something unique that would stand out to customers, so she started to put funny and inspirational sayings on the side of her candles. Schnea also uses vinyl stickers on her candles to stand out, and includes a crystal in every candle for “good vibes” when burning.
When she’s not slinging candles, Schnea has a full-time job as a Medical Assistant, and she also tries to spend time with her husband and their two dogs. Scentsational Aromas recently started to outgrow Schnea’s home business, and she is excited to expand into a shop setting!
